Receiving the coveted "Wings of Gold" in 1958, he has flown a number a varied aircraft, from the Piper J-3 to TF-106B and TF-51D. Graduating from the USCG Academy with a degree in Engineering, he added a Master's in Aeronautical Engineering (structures) and filled a number of Executive, Program, and Engineering positions in industry after retirement. He stiil serves as a consultant in the Proposal Management arena.
